The Cloisters is an independent structure and a branch of The Metropolitan Museum of Art. It houses an extraordinary collection of art and architecture from medieval Europe. Read more about The Cloisters.

The photographs show "The Unicorn in Captivity" (a large tapestry), the Apse from San Martin at Fuentiduena, the Crucifix from the convent of Santa Clara at Astudillo, a ceiling fresco (transferred to canvas) entitled "The Virgin and Child in Majesty and the Adoration of the Magi," the "Early Gothic Hall," the Altar Predella and Socle of Archbishop Don Dalmau de Mur y Cervello (with busts of three women), sections of stained glass windows, the Chapel from Notre-Dame-du-Bourg at Langon, and the center section of "The Annunciation Triptych."

Camera for these photographs: Konica Minolta DiMage A200 (ISO 50). March 27, 2006. Original digital resolutions are in the 2500 x 3400 range and prints up to 20" x 30" show no significant loss of quality.
